St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant Steam Generator Replacement Outage
Pinnacle Precision Services (Pinnacle) was selected to support the secondary side piping and related component welding activities associated with the replacement of the steam generators at the Florida Power and Light St. Lucie nuclear facility. Pinnacle provided a project manager, supervisors, and craftsmen required to support the project. During the course of this work Pinnacle performed final weld preparation and fit up of main steam and main and auxiliary feedwater piping and pipe supports, and on various sampling, level control and instrumentation piping. Pinnacle then performed all welding activities in accordance with the ASME code.
Pinnacle met or exceeded all of its customer’s expectations regarding quality, safety and schedule adherence. Pinnacle completed all of its work activities on or ahead of schedule with a first time quality factor of 100%. This was the first time in the industry that 100% of the secondary side pipe welding was performed with zero defects. Pinnacles’ project safety record was perfect with zero OSHA recordable and zero lost time accidents and also had no incidences of work practice violations.
Provided project management, supervision and craftsmen necessary to support the removal and reinstallation of piping systems and components associated with the replacement of steam generators.
Provided project management, supervision and craftsmen to perform repair, replacement and modifications to piping systems and components in support of routine maintenance and flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) related pipe replacement during refueling outage.
